What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag
Getting ready for your hospital stay as a gestational carrier is such an exciting time! Packing your bag can be a fun way to prepare for the adventure ahead while also ensure you have the comforts of home as you watch someone else become a parent! Here’s a checklist to help you remember all the essentials you’ll want to bring along!
For You:
- Comfy Clothes:
- Snuggly pajamas or nightgowns
- A cozy robe and some fluffy slippers
- An easygoing outfit for heading home
- Plenty of comfy underwear (think disposables!)
- Toiletries:
- Toothbrush and toothpaste (fresh breath is a must!)
- Your fave shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
- Deodorant to stay fresh
- Any skincare goodies you can’t live without
- Hairbrush or comb for those post-nap hair moments
- Lip balm to keep your lips happy
- Comfort Items:
- A pillow from home (trust me, it makes a difference!)
- A soft blanket or shawl to snuggle with
- Some snacks (just check what’s allowed!)
- A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
- Sleep mask and maybe some ear plug (No baby for you to take care of means you can SLEEP!!)
